God is not dead; So What Does That Make Me?

by Michael on October 22, 2012

Christ is Risen! What an awesome statement but if that was all it was, you might “Big deal, what does that have to do with me?”

The fact that he lives in us as we live in him and in the Father through his Holy Spirit is what makes it a such a profound statement. Your creator resides inside of you. He knows everything about you, and wants to have a relationship with you.

Wow! What else is there to say.

There is another part to this. He says in John 14:6 ” I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes unto the Father except through me.” Note he did not say I am one way or that that there are many ways. He is the way. If mankind what s to be saved they have to go through him. and ultimately us.

in Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

That’s right as Christians we are supposed to tell everyone about his good news. Sounds pretty clear to me.

If you have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, he resides in you. That makes you the best advertisement that he could have.

So you are living proof that God is not dead. What an incredible responsibility!

The word Christian means Christ-like. We are called to follow in Christ’s footsteps. But if you are living like the world, What reason are you giving the world to come to Christ?

Read this quote by Brennan Manning;

“The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle,” Manning has said. “That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.

Listen to this song by the Newsboys several times and reflect.
